Area Sales Manager
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned business transient/group/catering goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts as well as maintaining existing clients/groups. The Area Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Regional Director of Sales and other Area Sales Managers to achieve the hotel’s revenue and market share goals for one or more properties.

The Area Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Regional Director of Sales and other Area Sales Managers to achieve the hotel’s revenue and market share goals for one or more properties.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals
- Clear understanding of the hotels’ business operations, brand, and revenue strategies.
- Proactively conduct solicitation calls, prospect, generate contracts and conduct sales tours.
- Maintain accounts, contacts, activity, and business details using Delphi.fdc/Amadeus.
- Clear understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.
- Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
- Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable.
- Responsible for selling meeting space and detailing BEO’s at properties with event space.
- Assist with the creation of annual Sales & Marketing plans.
- Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
- Operate the Sales Department within an established sales expense budget.
We need someone who:
- Is energetic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
- Hospitality Sales experience is a plus!
- Has knowledge of the surrounding community and its current events.
- Communicates effectively to create a great impression in writing, telephone, and personal meeting situations.
- Has a valid driver's license and insurance.
